Check CA Foundation (Earlier CA CPT), CA Intermediate (Earlier CA IPCC), and CA Final Revalidation of Registration Process. In our previous articles, we have given CA Foundation, Intermediate and CA Final new syllabus which is applicable from May 2018. Today we are providing CA Foundation, Intermediate and CA Final registration validity and other aspects like how to re-validate your registration, how much fees you have to pay for the same etc.

Yesterday, we received an E-mail from a CA IPCC student that read: “Sir, I wrote CA IPCC exams 7 times. However, I did not pass a single group. November 2017 is my eighth attempt. If I will not pass in Nov 2017 attempt, what should I do? How much fees I need to pay to ICAI. Should I pay IPCC registration fees of Rs 12000/- again? Please clarify this.

If you too have the similar doubt then don’t worry! You need not pay INR. 12000/- again. To re-validate your registration you need to pay minimal amount such as INR 400/- to ICAI. Read the complete details below:

First, check out, how many times you can write CA Foundation, Intermediate and CA Final exams with initial registration.

  • - Initial registration for CA Foundation (CPT) is valid for 3 years.
  • - Initial registration for the CA Intermediate (CA IPCC), Course is valid for 4 years
  • - Initial registration for Final Course is valid for 5 years.

So with initial registration, you can write CA Foundation exam 6 times, CA Intermediate exam 8 times and CA Final exam 10 times.

Note: Even if you miss any attempt, you should include that attempt while calculating the number of attempts.

Let us check each revalidation process.

With the implementation of Revised Scheme, which comes into effect from 1st July, 2017 there would be cases of students who are registered under the existing scheme in the respective levels and whose registration would be expiring after discontinuation of existing scheme i.e. after 1st July, 2017 and such set of students might like to continue in the existing scheme so as to avail the available attempts in the respective level. Though the registration under the existing scheme was closed on 30th June, 2017, the students were allowed to revalidate their registration to avail the available attempts by paying the following re-validation fees.
