CA Inter Examination Form

The students who have cleared the CA CPT (Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test) or the CA Foundation exam are eligible to appear in the CA IPCC (Chartered Accountancy Integrated Professional Competence Course) 2019 or the CA Intermediate Exam 2019. The eligible candidates need to register themselves with the Board of Studies which can be done online on the website. However, registering for the course alone is not enough. You need to register for the exam before every attempt that you give.

Examination Form:

After registering for the course, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) mandates registering for the exam in advance to be eligible to be able to attempt the examinations.

For the May 2019 attempt, the ICAI has finally released a schedule of dates. The first important one being 20th February 2019 that marks the commencement of filling up of online examination forms.

Last Date to Register:

The last date for registering for the CA Intermediate May 2019 Exam is March 12, 2019. Thus, students are requested to fill the form before this date to avoid missing out on opportunities. It is also suggested that registrations are done well before the last date to avoid any last minute hassles and glitches.

However, if you miss enrolling before the standard deadline, you can opt for an extended deadline of upto 19th March 2019 by paying an additional fee of Rs. 600.

Exam Centers:

For the May 2019 attempt, CA Intermediate exam would be held across 193 cities in India and 5 cities in abroad. Among the abroad exam centers are Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, and Muscat.

The students may choose their own exam cities but the exam centers would be auto generated and will be mentioned on the admit card along with the examination roll number.

Examination Time:

Each exam would last for 3 hours and start at 1400 hours (IST) and go upto 1700 hours (IST) for exams in Indian cities.

In Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat, exams will comment at 1230 hours local time, equivalent to 1400 hours (IST).

In Doha, exams will comment at 1130 hours local time, equivalent to 1400 hours (IST).

At Katmandu (Nepal), exams will comment at 1230 hours local time, equivalent to 1400 hours (IST).

Registration Process:

All the registrations for examinations, irrespective of the stage have to be done online only and completed using an online payment.

  • For this purpose, can visit the website at http://icaiexam.icai.org and log in to their account.
  • Here, on your dashboard, select the registration tab and click on <register for the exam>.
  • A new page opens. Here, click on apply now. However, make sure that all the information that your account has is in sync as the same would reflect on your admit card and examination report card.
  • Now, fill up the form, select your groups, language, fill details for any exemptions, etc and click on <save and preview>
  • On this page, preview and reconcile the information that you have given. Then, read and agree to the teams of the exam and click on <Final Submit>
  • This now leads you to the payment part. Remit the examination fee on-line by using VISA or MASTER or MAESTRO Credit / Debit Card / Rupay Card / Net Banking.
  • Enter the security code and click on <make payment>
  • Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation of the registration and you can further download in the PDF format and use for future reference.
  • Once you have downloaded the form, you need to print it and physically send it to the Institute of Chartered Accountants by Post.

Write exam in Hindi:

You can even opt to write your exam in Hindi. This should be done during the exam registration process.
