New Exam Pattern for CA Intermediate Exams, To Be Levied From May 2019 Attempt
The realm of CA-Intermediate seems to be constantly changing. First the name changed, then the syllabus and the number of papers, and now the question paper pattern. From May 2019 onward, the CA Intermediate examination pattern will also change for the following subjects:
- Paper 2 Corporate and Other Laws
- Paper 4 Taxation
- Paper 6 Auditing & Assurance 6 Auditing & Assurance
- Paper 7 Enterprise Information System & Strategic Management
For the above mentioned papers, 30% weightage will be allotted to objective type questions. These questions will follow the MCQ pattern, and may be allotted one or more marks. But unlike in CA-CPT or CA-Foundation, there will be no negative marking for these questions. However, these questions will be compulsory, and there will be no internal or external choice in them. The remaining questions i.e., 70% of the paper would be as per the present pattern of assessment. To promote better understanding of the new pattern, ICAI has released some sample questions.
